Summertime

As so often in life, I find myself looking back!

I'm looking back on the 2014 Summertime - which brought some of the finest weather that Ireland has seen for a while.

But nevertheless not as warm and pleasant as the Summers we think we remember when we were children growing up!

Why IS that?

Nobody will tell me if the weather really WAS warmer and the evenings longer in the Summers of the 1960s and 1970s ... maybe our memories play tricks and are a bit selective, remembering the better bits and conveniently suppressing the not so good bits.

Nobody knows - or at least nobody is saying.

Anyway, I have very good memories of another great Fiddlers Green Festival in Rostrevor, a very enjoyable house concert in County Kerry among other Irish gigs ... as well as a number of visits to Germany, both solo and with The Sands Family (in May).

As August comes to an end, I am looking forward to a return tour in Britain, the first time there in a number of years.
